Dr. David Feifel earned a Bachelor of Science, Master’s Degree, MD, and a PhD(Neurobiology) from the University of Toronto, Canada. After completing an internship in Internal Medicine, Dr. Feifel completed a Psychiatry residency at the University of California, San Diego, serving as outpatient Chief Resident in his final year. He was then recruited to join UCSD’s School of Medicine as a faculty member and rose to rank of full Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and in the Neuroscience graduate program. At UCSD Dr. Feifel was Director of the Neuropsychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Program, was the founder and Director of the UCSD Adult ADHD program, and created the Department of Psychiatry’s Center for Advanced Treatment where he introduced several novel treatments such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Ketamine Therapy. He was one of the first providers in the country to utilize these treatments.
